PNP 10

10 ways to reset the tone of your day:

  1. Choose a word you want to cultivate and write it somewhere you’ll see it
  2. Put some different / new music on and have a dance party
  3. Go for a 10 minute walk and come back feeling fresh
  4. Set a timer for 5 minutes and tidy up your desk
  5. Take five deep, nourishing breaths
  6. Acknowledge everything you’ve already achieved
  7. Let go of non-urgent, non-important tasks
  8. Ask for help, even just a little
  9. Put the kettle on and go wash your face while it boils
  10. Take a moment to remember what you’re working towards

  • Oh, perfectionism! You bit me on the bum yet again... My latest blog post is a little story about how I let my monkey mind convince me I'm terrible at everything because I couldn't do a yoga pose perfectly. πŸ˜¬πŸ˜’πŸ€”
I've reframed it and shared some thoughts and generally feel much better now! .

  • Yesterday, the lovely Amanda at @theupfill shared a tool I've been using with clients (and myself) for a couple of years: the "enough" list. Rather than trying to squeeze everything you want to get done onto a piece of paper (and then feeling bad about it), try writing a list of the essentials - the things that are good enough for today. This is mine, for today at least, and it includes personal self-care and work. You might just do self-care or you might add in some work too. The idea is that I'll be happy if I just get these things done, and nothing else. This is especially helpful for those managing depression and/or anxiety, but overachievers and juggling parents will also find it useful.
I've added a blank here and a couple of other templates in my stories if you want to have a go on Instagram. (But writing it just for yourself is great, too.)

  • Having so much fun sending out happy post to everyone who's taken my little survey! There's still time to get in on the action if you have 5 minutes... The next person to do it will get me to a nice milestone which would be the cherry on top of this lovely spring day πŸ˜‰

  • Friends, today marks three years since my first Small Creative Business Retreat. Can you believe it?! A weekend where dreams were made, friendships formed, and plans were hatched. There was a super moon, a spring equinox, and a lot of gorgeousness. Since then, I've hosted five weekend retreats in total, and three day retreats. They've each been magical and every time I do one, I remember that I love it and it's what I'm here to do.
This year, I'm hatching plans for a couple of day retreats in August / September, and I'll be back in the Cotswolds in January for a retreat weekend. If you'd like to know more or just want to let me know you're interested, I'd love to hear from you! Because you're probably my people.
